Incarceration.

When a profit-motive is introduced into the prison/jail equation, one can only expect for corruption to enter into the Judicial process. Furthermore, one may safely deduct that innocent individuals shall be unjustly incarcerated as greed plays a prominent role. Since the U. S. Government began abdicating it's responsibilty and allowing private, for-profit corporations (i.e. C. C. A.) to assume control over penal institutions, it is that the prison/jail population in America has tripled. And even the U. S. Department of Justice concurs that probably one incarcerated person out of every fifteen is held unjustly. This is unacceptable. As a People, we have grown to be too comfortable with the concept of imprisonment.
